» Echo Point : Echo Point is situated at a distance of about 15 km from Munnar and derives its name from the natural echo characteristics here. The Echo point comes on the way to Top Station from Munnar.

» Rajamala : Home of the Nilgiri tahr, Rajamala is situated at a distance of about 15 km from Munnar, at a height of 2695 m above sea level. The total number of Nilgiri Tahrs in Rajamala is estimated to be over 1300.

Munnar has a tropical climate and experiences all the seasons. Rains are generally fall between the months of June and September. The best time to visit Munnar is between the months of October and March.

» By Air : The nearest airport from Munnar is Kochi at a distance of 130 kms. Flights operate between Kochi and most other domestic destinations. Other alternative is Madurai (in Tamil Nadu) about 162 km away. Taxis and buses are easily available from here.

» By Trains : Kochi is also the nearest railhead from Munnar. Kochi has good connectivity with the rest of India through rail network.Taxis and buses are easily found here to reach Munnar.

» By Road : Munnar has good road connectivity with the rest of Kerala as well. Both Madurai and Coimbatore are at a time distance of 6 hours from Munnar. Buses operate regularly to Munnar from these destinations. Taxi and bus services are available from Thiruvananthapuram (via Alappuzha or Kottayam), Thekkady, Kochi, Theni, Palani, Madurai, Coimbatore, Kodaikanal, Chinnar, Devikulam, etc.
