» Cubbon Park : Cubbon Park is a huge area spread over 120 hectares of land. Located near the Vidhan Soudha, the beautiful place is a favourite of little children and morning walkers. There are many neo-classical styled government buildings in the area. A few charming buildings dating back to the colonial period also add to the attraction of the place.

» Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens : One of Bangalore's most beautiful gardens, the Lal Bagh Garden has many different varieties of flowers. The flower show held on Republic Day is a very big attraction here. It is always a great sight watching the flowers in full bloom during the seasons.

» Gangadhareshware Temple : The cave temple of Gangadhareshware is one of the most revered places of Bangalore. Built by medieval ruler Kempe Gowda, the temple is famous for its four monolithic pillars and a rare idol of Agni, the God of fire. A unique phenomenon observed in this temple on the 13th and 14th of January is that rays of the setting sun enter through the window, pass through the horns of the Nandi idol and fall straight on the Shivalingam of the temple. This itself tells the precision with which architectural plans of the temple were executed.

» By Trains : Bangalore is well connected to many important national destinations through express trains. Local trains also operate from smaller towns of Karnataka to Bangalore. » By Road : Bangalore is a one most important hub of road communications in South India and National Highways Nos. 47 and 48 connect to all major centres of the region. Road distance to some of the important stations in the region from Bangalore are - Hyderabad (565 km), Vijayawada (719 km), Mangalore (349 km), Chennai (340 km), Mysore (140km), Ooty (300 km). The frequent bus services also connects Bangalore with neighboring states. The inter-state bus terminus is located in Subhash Nagar which is about 7 kms from downtown Bangalore.
